This refrigerator is spacious with 20.5 cubic feet of interior space. It includes Bosch's patented FarmFresh System featuring four cutting-edge freshness technologies to keep fruits, vegetables and leftovers in good condition for three times longer than average. The temperature of the freezer is near perfect, too, not varying by more than a fraction a degree from an ideal temperature.

While the Bosch refrigerator is more expensive than the GE Appliances model, it has more features that make it worth the cost. It has a door-in the door storage space which allows you to store small amounts of food in a container that can be placed right inside the fridge door. It also features a convertible compartment with five temperature settings for different types of drinks, snacks and meat. The Bosch fridge also has a smart-home feature called Home Connect which allows you to control the fridge remotely using your phone or tablet.

The only drawbacks to this refrigerator are the flimsy main fridge drawer and the difficult-to-use right door latch. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

LG counter-depth refrigerators have a lot of storage into a small footprint. They're also priced more affordably than many standard-depth French door refrigerators and remove the need for a separate smaller under-counter freezer.  LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is no exception with the capacity of a standard fridge in an elegant, modern design, with an integrated dispenser that makes it easy to access filtered water.

This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins are roomy, and the top right shelf can be folded down to create a half-depth shelves that allow larger items to fit. A set of crisper drawers are located in the lower part of the refrigerator and the deli drawer with a full width can be used to store meat or produce.

The refrigerator is equipped with a recessed Icemaker that is located on the back wall. This helps save space and allows you to store more bags of ice. The refrigerator is equipped with a door-cooling system that utilizes vents in the freezer and fridge doors to let cold air enter the refrigerator. It helps prevent hot spots and maintains the temperature of the refrigerator.

This LG refrigerator was a standout in our tests and offers plenty of space to keep a family well-fed, but it does have a few quirks that we found irritating. First, the freezer drawers don't stay at the temperature we'd like. The temperature of the middle drawer reached 41° during our peak use test, which is the temperature needed to freeze ice cream and other frozen foods. The temperature in the rest of your freezer remained at around 36 degrees.

The doors of refrigerators also have handles with sunken handles that are difficult for people with shorter arms to close. It might seem like a minor thing but we prefer front mounted handles on fridges so they're simpler to open and close.

This fridge is expensive, but worth it for those who want a sleek look in their kitchen. We recommend this fridge for those who want to upgrade their refrigerator, or for those who are building a brand new home and want a more integrated style for their kitchen.

Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Samsung's newest counter-depth French door fridge called the RF23M8090SG is priced at $4200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also did well in our cooling test, but we're not a fan of the gimmicky handles or fragile crisper bins.

One thing that distinguishes the RF23M8090SG apart is its Bespoke line that lets you personalize your fridge with removable colored panels which can be swapped when you're tired of the ones you have currently. There are 11 different colors to choose from, ranging from pastels to more vibrant hues. There are four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be customized with text or photos which makes the fridge a more personal feature that can be matched to your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.

You can also alter the color of the refrigerator's LED lighting, which is a nice touch. The interior of the fridge is finished in a way that helps reduce smudges and makes cleaning easier. The only real drawbacks of the RF23M8090SG is its crowded beverage center, and an inclination to access the door-indoor feature that houses a water dispenser and the pitcher. You have to feel for an opening on the side of the door that is halfway across, and once you do you will be able to open another door inside the refrigerator that houses the pitcher docking station as well as the water dispenser, and two shelves for drinks.

The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is large enough to hold a lot of frozen foods and comes with an amazing slide-out drawer system that lets you access whichever food item you're looking for without opening the entire compartment. There's also a butter-bin-style storage compartment in the freezer for easy storage of small items, and a drawer with a huge capacity which can store larger frozen items. This drawer can be locked with the use of a password to keep out unwanted guests and also has an attractive LED light so you can see the contents at an instant. The freezer can also monitor energy consumption and help you cut down on your energy consumption with the SmartThings that are smart and enabled with Energy mode.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

French door refrigerators provide a clean appearance to any kitchen and they are suitable for various sizes of rooms. If you're looking to enjoy the convenience of this style without the height, a counter-depth fridge is the way to go. We've tested many of them, and this particular Frigidaire model has a higher than average score in our ratings for its low cost and thoughtful features, such as an adjustable temperature drawer.

It also has some annoying problems. Our test data shows that the FGHB2866PF gets warm quite some in the freezer, and can get uncomfortably warm on the refrigerator's outermost shelves. Our heat maps show how the temperature changes minute by minute. The orange region in the top right, representing the butter bin, is particularly warm for most of our testing period. It might not appear too bad at first glance however, it means that the fridge is spending a large portion of its time above 33 degrees.

It's worth noting that this model isn't Energy Star certified, which could be important to certain buyers. The issue is that this fridge isn't very good. It's not equipped with the latest features and durable construction, making it difficult to recommend it over more expensive models at this price.

This Frigidaire refrigerator is similar to the stainless steel version that you may see in the local store for appliances. It's a great option with a brushed finish that looks great and is resistant to smudges. However it's not offering much to distinguish itself from its competitors which are more feature-rich and cost less.

Still, if you're shopping for a low-cost counter-depth French door fridge and don't have the budget to spend a lot on our top selections and the FGHC2331PF is worth a look. It's got enough storage to meet the needs of many families and does a great job of keeping food fresh. And even if it isn't an energy-efficient model, it doesn't have the same price tag more than our top-rated models do.
